GREDOS IBEX

Possibly the most representative game species worldwide from Spain and the largest of the 4 Ibex subspecies in our territory.

It has the darkest body hair and its horns are lyre shaped. Their main habitat is in the Gredos mountains, located only two hours from Madrid in the center of Spain. The hunting areas are very large and sometimes the use of horses is needed.

This species is traditionally hunted in stalk hunting during rut season at the beginning of winter, being able to experience beautiful mountain landscape and sometimes having to take very long and difficult shots.

Gun tips: Long range shots, use high velocity calibers with a great scope for trophy valuation.

IBERIAN WILD BOAR

This ancient species from Spain is one of the most traditional hunting species in our country. It has perfectly adapted to our territory even becoming a problem in urban areas where hunting is banned.

This animal is traditionally hunted in blinds or driven hunts. The adrenaline rush from hunting with dogs and its smartness and aggressiveness is something every hunter must experience.

This animal due to its trophy characteristics with lower tusks that can measure over 20cm and beautiful compact body hair, will make hunters worldwide be willing to experience the thrill of this hunt.

Gun tips: Short range shots, use reasonably big calibers with great stopping power. Great specie for crossbow & arrow hunts.

IBERIAN AOUDAD OR BARBARY SHEEP

This species which was introduced from northern Africa by the Spanish Government many years ago, has perfectly adapted to our territory in some dry areas.

The stalk of this animal due to its trophy characteristics horn shape and beautiful chest hair will make any hunter be willing to harvest one.

The main hunting areas for this animal are in Southern Spain, particularly in mountain areas of the South in Andalucía región & Murcia.

The transfer from Madrid to the hunting areas in Murcia is about 4 hours.

Gun tips: Medium range distance shots, use intermediate calibers.

IBERIAN WOLF

Definitively one of the hardest species to bag in our country…The few Iberian wolf populations in northern Spain which were very scare, are now perfectly adapted to their territory and rapidly expanding to the south, although its hunting is prohibited below the Duero river.

There is a lot of controversy due to the fact that wolfs are very protected by ecologists, but they are becoming a problem for farmers in local areas due to the very reduced hunting quotas stablished by the government.

This animal is traditionally hunted waiting in hidden blinds with bait or to a lesser extent in driven hunts. The adrenaline rush from hunting this animal due to its clever and surly behavior will make the hunt a great experience.

Note: The hunt of this animal requires a lot of time and preparation so bookings must be arranged at least 6 months in advance.

ROE DEER

In Spanish called “ El duende del bosque” which means “forest elf” is one of the species that causes more fever among hunters worldwide.

The Roe Deer populations in Spain are widely spread across our geography generally using bush areas to hide and open areas to feed in plantations.

This animal is traditionally hunted in stalk hunts in large planted areas during spring, summertime or rut season when the roe deer make a characteristic “bark” being able to bag may trophies in one hunt.

The trophy characteristics and beautiful short pearled horns will make hunters worldwide be willing to experience the “Duende fever”.

MOUFLON SHEEP

Widely spread across the Iberian Peninsula this species was introduced by the Spanish government from Corsica Island in the Mediterranean in the XX century.

This animal is traditionally hunted in driven hunts or stalk hunts in areas of Extremadura & Castilla la Mancha mostly. While in winter time this species is active during daylight, during summer periods it tends to feed at night.

Definitively one of the greatest species to bag due to great population densities, male trophy quality & reasonable prices.

RONDA IBEX

The Ronda Ibex is the smallest of the four and probably the hardest one to bag. Its horns grow vertically and its shape is a little crushed. They are more like their Central European Ibex cousins. Their main distribution is in Southern Spain in Malaga Province.

Their main habitat is in the mountains near Ronda region, located in southern Spain. The hunting areas are very large.
